The Commission for A New Georgia
Administrative Services Task Force

The Task Force reviewed the current health benefits plan for state employees and has recommended how the plan can better balance services to employees with fiscal responsibility.

At the same time, the Task Force was concerned with offering a benefits package that helps the State recruit and retain outstanding employees. Private sector employers and nationally recognized healthcare consulting experts have contributed insight and information to the evaluation.

The Task Force sought solutions to mitigate the rising cost of healthcare, leverage available and emerging technologies, and encourage employee involvement in fiscally responsible healthcare decisions. Their recommendations concern plan design, implementation, and funding strategies for the next three to four years.
